In the heart of Miami, Florida, one man’s hustle has transformed into a respected community- driven business. Antwan “Fatman” Multimore, owner of FatMan HotDogs shares the origin story
behind his growing food venture and how his personal journey of resilience has inspired both his menu and his mission.
Multimore's passion for hot dogs and culinary arts laid the foundation for what began as a side
hustle. “When I first started Fat Man Hot Dogs, I was homeless,” he revealed in an exclusive interview. “I have to get up every day, get these hot dogs, get these sausages, make my flyers, make my post. I have to post every day, so they gave me the drive because I wanted to not be homeless.” What started as survival quickly evolved into a purpose-driven career rooted in faith,
family, and community support.
Before fully committing to his business, Multimore worked as a middle school teacher. His
experience in the classroom gave him a first-hand understanding of the challenges students face, especially with food insecurity after school. This perspective continues to fuel his mission. “For the homeless, if you can't do anything for someone, you can feed them,” he said. “I would rather get them food than to give them money.”
The entrepreneur has become a well-known figure in his community, recognized not only for his flavorful sausages and signature hot dogs, but for his unwavering commitment to giving back. Fat Man Hot Dogs frequently provides meals to those in need, a gesture Multimore credits to the support he’s received throughout his journey.
As Miami continues to grow, so does the presence of Fat Man Hot Dogs. Multimore has potential plans to expand the business to multiple locations while maintaining its roots in Miami. “Without the community, FatMan HotDogs wouldn't be where they are right now,” he emphasized.
